About Me

I am a fully qualified, registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy working in Jersey, Channel Islands.

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Counselling (AQA) as well as an additional Post Qualifying Diploma at Level 7 (Masters level) in Counselling Children and Young People (ABC). In addition to these main qualifications, I hold certificates in Drug and Alcohol Addiction Counselling, Integrative Psychotherapy, EMDR, Clinical Supervision (Diploma) and am currently working towards my qualification in Systemic Family Therapy with the Tavistock Institute. I have also undertaken numerous and extensive training in trauma work.

I also have a first class BA (Hons) degree and am a fully qualified accountant. Having made the decision to banish my calculator and turn to the infinitely more interesting subject of the human condition; I have never looked back.

In addition to my private practice, I work collaboratively with Mind Jersey to help improve the counselling facilities for those caring for people suffering with mental illness. I also work with Victim Support to offer emotional support to those affected by crime and have previously volunteered at both Headway Jersey and the Men's Refuge offering counselling services to their members.

I am fully trained and working towards accreditation in EMDR - a NICE Approved Treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This can be helpful for treating many trauma related conditions.
